Anne Meyer

Anne P. Meyer, Esq. joined Vera’s Guardianship Project in 2016. As a staff attorney, she manages legal matters pertaining to a client’s guardianship as well as litigating on collateral issues relating to a client’s housing and/or benefits. Prior to Vera, Anne worked at Cohen & Cohen Law Group, P.C., a small, private law firm in Queens, NY, working with clients to create estate plans tailored to their personal needs, as well as working with clients to help them get guardianship of their loved ones who lost the ability to care for themselves and/or manage their finances without assistance. 

Prior to her time at Cohen & Cohen, Anne interned and then worked for the Main Street Legal Services Inc. Elder Law Clinic, providing pro bono legal services to indigent clients with regards to guardianship matters as both attorney for the petitioner/guardian and as court evaluator. During her time as a member of the Elder Law Clinic, Anne had an article entitled"Ableism" in the Legal Sphere: An Analysis of MHL Article 81 Adult Guardianship of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, published in the Summer 2014 edition of the New York State Bar Association Elder Law and Special Needs Journal. Anne earned an M.A. in English from The College of Saint Rose and a J.D. from CUNY School of Law.
