Nicholas MacDonald

Nicholas MacDonald (Nico) is the communications manager for the Reshaping Prosecution Program. In this role, he manages strategic communications to support program initiatives and site partners across the country. Previously, Nico worked as communications manager for Humanities New York (HNY), the New York state affiliate for the National Endowment for the Humanities. At HNY, he focused on building statewide networks, facilitating interdisciplinary conversations, and advancing pressing issues for advocacy, including the 2020 Census. Nico has also worked with the Human Rights Project at Urban Justice Center on evaluating human rights compliance with the United Nations International Bill of Human Rights in New York City. Nico holds an MS in urban policy & leadership from Hunter College, where he collaborated with Community Board 4 on the Bushwick Community Plan. He also holds a bachelor's from the University of Michigan where he studied environmental science and anthropology.
