Tania Sawczuk

Tania Karina Sawczuk is a senior planner for transition management in the Unaccompanied Children Program. Previously, Tania worked as a senior program associate working on the SAFE (Safety & Fairness for Everyone) Initiative and the Los Angeles Justice Fund counsel efforts in Vera’s Los Angeles office. Before joining Vera, Tania was a founding member and directing attorney at Immigrant Defenders Law Center, a Los Angeles-based social justice nonprofit legal service provider, which launched in 2015. Prior to that, she was a managing attorney at Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project, working in removal defense in the Direct Representation Program, National Qualified Representative Program, and Legal Orientation Program at the Adelanto and Mira Loma Detention Centers. Tania graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and holds a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
