New national resource center aids in reaching underserved crime victims.

The U.S. Office on Victims of Crime (OVC) has funded the design and launch of a new national resource center to build the capacity of the victim services field to identify, serve, and reach victims of crime who have not been adequately or appropriately assisted in the past.

The creation of this center grew out of the OVC’s Vision 21: Transforming Victim Services national assessment process and reflects the commitment of dozens of partnering organizations and national experts to ensure that crime victims are able to receive the assistance they need, delivered in a manner that is accessible, culturally appropriate, and trauma-responsive.U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, Vision 21: Transforming Victim Services (Washington, DC: U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime, 2013).
