This 1991 analytic memorandum was prepared by Vera for the Jail Population Management Project. It presents the pattern of demand for jail resources, coming from various categories of inmates in the custody of New York City's Department of Correction (DOC). Attached is an addendum with: admits, the jail days they use, cumulative distributions by type of admit, court of final disposition and type of disposition.
