Overview

This portfolio details Vera's work in the last six months of 1994. During this period Vera build a crime mapping tool for the NYPD, began examinining the impact of the nation's extraordinarily high level of incarceration on the communities from which the prisoners come from and return to, and launched a New York County project analyzing new ways that lawyers are assigned to represent indigent defendants in criminal cases.
