Overview

This 1982 British Home Office Report analyzes the functioning of magistrates' courts in the United Kingdom and offers suggestions on improving it. The report has for main parts: 

1) a description of magistrates' courts current functioning; 

2) suggestions for improving waiting times;

 3) suggestions for improving fine enforcement; and 

4) improving the working of the system.
